Gary Boyd, President and Owner, CRRL
As President and Owner of Boyd, Inc., Gary Boyd has over 40 years of experience in the commercial roofing industry. He started Boyd, Inc. in 1974 and has been providing superior commercial roofing and waterproofing services to customers in Texas and other locations. In his 48-year career, Gary has also served actively as a leader on numerous roofing industry boards and committees. In 1995 he served as President of the North Texas Roofing Contractors Association of Texas. He is certified by multiple manufacturers and has worked on projects that range from schools, churches, and government facilities to malls and medical facilities. Gary is also a licensed with the Roofing Contractor's Association of Texas (RCAT). Gary lives in Burleson, Texas with his wife Jean. They have two daughters and are proud grandparents to nine grandchildren.
Jeanne is the daughter of Gary Boyd and has grown up with exposure to the roofing and construction industry. She officially began working at Boyd, Inc. in 1984, and remained with the company throughout college. In 1992, Jeanne pursued a career in education & leadership serving as a school teacher, vice-principal, and principal. Jeanne graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Broadcasting and a Master of Arts in Mid-Management. In 2014, Jeanne left the education field to follow her first passion--working for the family business. In addition to serving as Chief Operations Officer at Boyd, Inc., Jeanne is a licensed Property & Casualty Adjuster (#114750) and Vice-President of the Roofing Contractor's Association of Texas (RCAT). She is also certified by the Tile Roof Institute (TRI) for Florida High Wind and Concrete Clay Tile Installation. In September of 2022, Jeanne received her Commercial & Residential Roofing Contractors License through RCAT (License Number: 03-0525)
Wendy Covey, Administrative Assistant to Jeanne Curtis
Since 2015, Wendy has been providing assistance to Jeanne Curtis, the consultants, and all others here at Boyd. Wendy oversees invoicing for the consulting team, helps with scheduling, phone assistance, and provides project support for both sides of the company whenever her talents may be needed. Wendy lives in Arlington, Texas with her husband. She has a daughter and two sons. In her spare time she enjoys watching her daughter at all of her sporting events, and with her two precious grandchildren.
Peter Pakele, Vice-President of Roofing Division
Peter serves as a Senior Consultant at Boyd, Inc. and runs the Roofing Division. Peter has been with Boyd since 1997. In addition to being a member of Roofing Contractors Association of Texas (RCAT), he holds several roofing certifications including Asbestos Certification and is a master installer of metal roof systems for MBCI. He enjoys his work at Boyd planning, estimating, contracting, and managing commercial roofing system projects that result in satisfied customers. He attended Arizona State University.
Darin McEwen, Senior Consultant & Roofing Sales
Darin has been with Boyd, Inc. as a Consultant and Estimator since 2012. He brings to Boyd, Inc. a strong background in facilities management and is certified in roofing and waterproofing forensics as well as tile roof installation. Darin is a member of the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas (RCAT) and the North Texas Roofing Contractors Association (NTRCA). He holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from New Mexico State University. He enjoys spending his free time outdoors.
Ryan Curtis, Roofing Sales & Consulting
Ryan is a graduate of the University of Houston. He began his career in the restaurant service industry and after 25 years serving as restaurant manager, owner and franchisee, in 2019 he started his career at Boyd, Inc. Beginning in the sales department, Ryan has trained under owner, Gary Boyd since his employment. In 2022, Ryan began formally working dual positions as both Sales Representative and Consultant. Ryan and his wife live in Burleson, Texas with their two sons.
Chad Duke, Account Representative
Chad started with Boyd, Inc. in 2022. He is currently serving as Account Representative for our Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana projects. Chad generates exceptional sales by specializing in customer-service and relationship building. Chad lives in Mansfield, Texas with his wife and four children.
Jean Boyd, Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary
Jean Boyd brings more than 30 years of financial, operations, business development, and leadership experience to her role as CFO of Boyd, Inc. She began her work at Boyd, Inc. in 1982 and her focus includes finance, banking, insurance, bonding, and contracts. Jean lives in Burleson, Texas with her husband, Gary and is the proud grandmother to nine grandchildren.
Linda Wright, Financial Services & Office Support
Linda has been with Boyd, Inc. since 2017. She is the accounting office manager and is responsible for all accounting functions including invoicing, payables, payroll, HR processing, and all financial reporting. In addition, Linda assists with estimate calculations for the consulting team and supports the construction roofing division. Linda has a Master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Kansas. She lives in Fort Worth, Texas with her husband and enjoys traveling - especially when it involves being with her four children.
Deborah Johnson, Office Assistant/Support
Deborah joined Boyd, Inc. in 2016. She is responsible for opening new files, maintaining existing files, and archiving completed files for all of our clients. She helps out wherever her talents are needed. She lives in Waxahachie and spends her spare time reading, hanging out with her husband, and enjoying the company of her two canine companions.
